Bereaved Rights

Informational only · Not a law firm

Why Bereaved Rights exists.

Bereaved Rights was created for families who find themselves searching phrases like “wrongful death” or “fatal accident lawsuit” in the middle of real grief—and who are met mostly with ads and legal jargon.

What we’re trying to do

This site aims to give you context, language, and questions in plain English so that when you are ready to speak with a licensed attorney in your state, you feel a little more prepared and a little less lost.

We focus on clear explanations, realistic expectations, and gentle next steps—not on hype or pressure to “act now.”

What Bereaved Rights is not

  • We are not a law firm.
  • We do not represent clients or handle cases.
  • We cannot tell you whether you “have a case” or what it might be worth.

Only a lawyer licensed in your state can give you legal advice about your situation.

How to use this site

You don’t need to read everything at once. Many families use Bereaved Rights in short bursts: a state guide one day, a few FAQs another day, the legal help guide when they feel closer to calling a lawyer.

Wherever you are in that process, you’re welcome to move at your own pace.
